30 Days of Grateful Praise…

So I have an idea…and I’m wondering if you’ll play along?

30days

It’s really nothing new but still pretty important. I think Joyce Meyer gets the credit for the initial quote that started the squirrels running in my head:

Praise and be raised or complain and remain.

That and a ring I saw that spelled out the word “grateful” because I’m a sucker for jewelry with a message and I need all the reminders I can get… You too?

So in that spirit I want to (try to) post every day in November in a spirit of praise and thankfulness. Maybe some days will be short with just a picture of something I’m grateful for. Other days maybe longer as God shows me more about being thankful. ‘Tis the season after all.

Grateful:   1. warmly or deeply appreciative of kindness or benefits received; thankful

2. expressing or actuated by gratitude

3. pleasing to the mind or senses; agreeable or welcome; refreshing

And you know what I’d really love??? If YOU would join in and fill the comments with what you’re thankful for each day as well. Or if you have a blog and want to jump into your own list over there- what a blessing that would be! Or link up on istagram #30daysofgratefulpraise

Big or small, It’s all praise when we offer our thanks to the giver of all things.

And give thanks for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. ~ Ephesians 5:20

SO without further ado, here’s what I’m praising God for today:

This Bible and the undeniable fact that I NEED God.

…. and this “Harvest” Yankee candle just because…

Strange but true, once I started honing in on just one thing I was grateful for, ten more presented themselves. Even when we offer up our smallness, God is in the business of multiplying it. Abundance is just His way.

Will this be easy everyday? Probably not, but anything worth having isn’t always easy. Ready to push through with me and be lifted up as a result?

What are you thankful for today? I’m all ears…

  1. I love the idea of 30 days of grateful praise! There is so much to be thankful for and to notice every day instead of just one day, one week in November. When I stop to consider those things, I start with one or two and before I know it, I have a list a mile long of all I’m grateful for! We are so rich! I’m thankful for it all — for the big and small — to be a part of my niece and nephew’s growing up years and to live so close to them and I’m also thankful for the harvest candle that fills my house with such good aromas! I’m thankful for YOU, friend! My life is richer because of your kindredship! (Maybe I just made up a word!?) 🙂

    1. haha! I like your word making up skills ♥ I’ll take it! Praise begats praise I’m finding too! And I just wanted to be mindful for more than just that week around Thanksgiving. Oh are you as smitten with good smelling candles as I am?? : ) There’s something about the glow and the flicker of the flame that gets my thankfulness flowing. I’m grateful for you as well dear Valerie! ♥ Here’s to “Thanksliving”!
