How to Slow Your Roll…

I will not be slowing my roll too much today as my mama and I wagon wheel it on down south for the weekend… but everything in due time right…?

The thing I wanted to share before we hit the road is this… We can do a lot of things. But we don’t have to do all.the.things. {This is decidedly why God made best friends and business partners and husbands I think…} And we most certainly don’t have to do all our things all in the same day or even week or year.

Slow growth is the best way to grow otherwise the roots don’t get a chance take hold…

Even Aesop’s turtle had it right… Slow and steady does in fact win the race…

I shared this on Facebook yesterday:

If the request is wrong, God says, “No.”
If the timing is wrong, God says, “Slow.”
If you are wrong,  God says, “Grow.”But if the request is right, the timing is right, and you are right, God says, “Go!” ~ Greg Laurie

And I happened to comment to my friend who liked it that I felt I was somewhere stuck between Slow and Grow. But after thinking on it, I think I may be between Grow and Go. And that is simultaneously exciting and nerve wracking.

Up until this year I’ve been biding my time but now I find myself honing my processes and putting my ducks in a row which sometimes feels like herding cats because I am so squirrelly with all my notebooks full of ideas…hmmm what other animal analogies can I throw in there..?

At any rate, sometimes, you just need to slow your roll and the easiest way to do that is this:

Just.Breathe.

Be Still and Know.

everything will be ok

God’s got this.
