Day 20 :: How to Roll with Unintentional Interruptions…

Sometimes what starts as a 3 hour tour ends in a 7 hour escapade…

And sometimes you are way beyond blessed with things or people you don’t expect but without them, your life would be rather boring and filled with nothing but cereal and cat fur…

Sometimes what we may see as interruptions to our schedules are really just opportunities in disguise…

Thankfully since I started on this intentional journey 20 days ago I found myself with less ruffled feathers at a sudden turn of events than what I may have previously exhibited. Maybe because I had scheduled my time better or maybe because I was more intentional with my choice of attitude (because we all have a choice about how we are going to react right?)

No matter the reason, love trumps a crabby attitude every time.

“A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver.” (Proverbs 25:11).

Besides it was a beautiful day yesterday. Not sure that I’ll make the flip flop footwear choice again for a while (will I ever learn my lesson about dressing more intentionally??) but at least I had a jacket…

So we waited… and snacked on goldfish crackers and fruit soda while the other third enjoyed pretzels and hummus because the Five Guys restaurant we remembered from years past sadly had closed…

And finally the thing we set out to see appeared…

Jack White’s Third Man Records Rolling Record Store made it’s appearance in Charlottesville only about 3 1/2 hours later than expected. Technical difficulties abound sometimes, but it’s all good.

oh the things we do for our boys…

Peace, Love and Jack White to you all on this Fall Monday!
