Thankful Thursday- Late Edition

Don’t be fooled by the post title- it really is Friday. All week long my internal calendar has been on hiatus and I’ve spent part of each day thinking it’s another day… Spring Fever maybe? So thus my excuse for not showing my thanks yesterday…!

Without further ado, I bring you the top 3 things I’m thankful for this week:

1. All the color on the trees – Over night it seems like they all burst forth with green- sooo many shades of green- and although I was never a big fan of the emerald color (even if it is my birthstone) it’s definitely a much welcome change to all the brown brown brown that was in it’s place just a few short weeks ago!
2. A weekend of nothing – seriously we were at a productivity level of <-5> last week. Movie watching and leftovers trumped after the frantic schedule we’d been keeping. However, you know this means I’m in desperate house mode going into this weekend looking for my next victim project on the to-do list to re-design, reorganize or move around … I have issues…!
3. Safe travels for the boy- He went to see the WGI world championship indoor drumline show in Ohio. As in 8 hours away in a van with another family Ohio. Cue an unexpected freak out from me after dropping him off with a wave at 7:30 in the a.m last Friday. I’ll just blame PMS… but he returned home Sunday- happy and unscathed sporting a spiffy new jacket… the glass mountain dew he brought all the way from West VA , well that didn’t fair as well…
