Inspire, Sewing, what God can do

What’s Your Hustle..?

Happy Wednesday!

Since we last chatted you’ll be happy to know I found my motivation…!

Last night alone, I came home, worked out, fixed dinner

(ok…I cheated a little here with leftover pizza and big salads…)

made a pitcher of tea, started laundry, took a shower, picked up the boy after pep band and knocked out two of these: (I have 6 to go…but who’s counting…)

…whew…reading all that now makes me tired… but I actually feel pretty good today! No I didn’t stay up til midnight, rather I was on the couch nodding in and out of consciousnesses by 10:45 as the husband and I tried to watch a show together… don’t worry, the feeling was mutual on his side too…

So now you know the story behind the mustache fabric…!

In other news,

I ♥ this cat…

…she however was not so enamored with my friend’s hand in her face…!

And lastly…

In one of our marathon snow day tv watching extravaganzas of last week we watched an interview with Robert Downey Jr. and although he’s not the poster child for how one should seek to live their life, one thing stuck in my brain and it was a comment he made about developing your hustle.

Now, before this, I tended to think of hustling in terms of one who hustles- be it card games or women- but in context of the interview he really means it in terms of work ethic and how if you really want something you have to be willing to get out there and put in the effort it takes to make it happen.

GO for what you love….

In googling around I found that ol’ Honest Abe apparently shared the same view…

God gives us gifts and talents he wants us to use and refine… am I using mine to their full potential..??

How are you Developing your Hustle and Making it Count this week…?

For this reason I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline. ~2 Timothy 1:6-7
