It’s a pleasure to meet you! Arranging furniture, brainstorming ideas for improved function and flow and creating a cozy atmosphere are where it’s at for me and I’m blessed to serve my people in those ways. Ever since getting a degree in Architectural and Industrial design 20+ years ago, “playing house” in various capacities has been my favorite thing to do. I love helping you get unstuck and create interiors that tell a good story- your story!

When I’m not making up mood boards, space plans and design concepts for my precious clients, you can catch up with me at antique malls, church or on my evening walks. My brain is always in gear working out the details for (or working on) my next home project, restyling my vintage booth, sewing or reupholstering something. I have a husband, son & daughter-in-law who constantly have to entice me to slow down with good music, Mexican food and my favorite 1930’s Thin Man movies!

One Room Full Design Concept Plan

This virtual eDesign package provides complete creative direction and space planning for clients who are starting from scratch or majorly overhauling one room in their home. The client provides pictures, thorough measurements of the space and answers to a style personality survey.

Up to 2 client feedback and revision sessions
Recorded video session with design install notes walking through the final plan

One Room Virtual Redesign

Ideal for clients who need a fresh perspective on refreshing a tricky room using furniture and decor they already have. The client provides pictures and basic measurements of the furniture and existing room.

Designer provides:

Virtual Discovery Call to gather client needs and preferences
Emailed project instructions and 2D floor plan using the clients existing furniture
Inspiration, encouragement and suggestions of colors and additional pieces to shop your house for to complete your redesigned room

In person Designer for a Day

(available to Goochland, Powhatan, Henrico and Hanover, Virginia only)

It’s my pleasure to be your creative companion. This in-home design consultation package provides inspiration and encouragement while working alongside you to redesign or organize your home to serve you, your family & guests. Pick my brain as we brainstorm finishes, color palettes and styles. Consulting on space planning and additional pieces needed to complete your redesigned rooms. Can include hands on services such as organizing, furniture moving (up to 100lbs), hanging art & accessorizing. Includes style survey and follow up email with notes from our session.

In contrast to using a conventional full service interior design firm you save on admin costs and markup by managing your project and purchasing your furnishings on your timeline and in your budget. This lets me do what I do best- creatively problem solve, design functional, beautiful plans for you to implement and curate the best sources for your furnishings within your budget.

But I don’t just want to help you design your home, I also want to help you create and live out a life you love, in a space that nourishes you, starting from the inside out. Because of my background as a coach and designer I can’t help but see how the transformation of both our internal and external worlds- heart and home- overlap and overflow into each other.

My approach to design is less about upscale furnishings and more about making room for more of who you are becoming. With a little treasure hunting I can help you confidently transform your home and heart into places of beauty and possibility as you enter new seasons in life.

How is this different from working with a full service interior design firm? Going with a traditional interior design firm is great if you want to be hands off because they handle all the design planning, shipping, receiving, installation, and returns. The value is in the initial design plan which is in our sweet spot to provide and if you’re willing to do the hands-on work of sourcing and managing your own project you can save tons.

Do you make money off the links you provide? I’m not limited or incentivized to shop at any specific affiliates. I don’t make money off of the products sourced for you in our design packages. The world is our oyster and it all comes down to what fits your budget and style the best.

Can I return items I buy for my room that I don’t love? Each shopping link will take you directly to the retailer which will have their own return policy. Most will accept returns/exchanges within 30 days but you always check the return policy before committing. If we are recommending sourcing from Antique Malls or Facebook for unique or special pieces, these venues are typically all sales final.

How will I provide measurements and pictures of my room? You will be provided with a link to a shared google drive folder where you can upload your room sketches with measurements and photos for your project. Instructions and examples will be provided at the start of your design project.
