Whew!! We’re still here– the snow up and down the east coast tried to do us in and for a bit, it had the upper hand, but we prevailed!
However, as a result, let’s just say my motivation was severely altered these past few days… hijacked if you will… I beat my self up for a little while over it because at the beginning of the week I was feeling all gung-ho and my mantra was Make it Count! There was a hustle and a movement to get stuff done! By Saturday, I was a wart on a frog on a bump on a log….

17 year olds sledding… enough said…
Snow days are fun as long as the power stays on and we were lucky in that respect this time. But too many snow days in a row and things start to slip. My routine and rhythm shifts causing nutrition and movement to be the first to flee…. mass amounts of cookie baking… sure…! One more rerun of Nashville? Why not! Just a few more peanut m&m’s? Ok! Put on a movie at 6pm followed by another one at 9pm…

You get the picture…
It happens…
Let’s not reminisce…
The truth: There will be periods of rest… and flat out laziness.. I think this is just the rhythm of life. Mountains and valleys. Victories and cave dwelling. We all get so busy at times that there’s no room for any slack. So sometimes it’s ok to not go at full tilt for a day or two. {I am trying to make myself feel better here… hopefully you too!}
Each morning we wake up is a new opportunity to get up and get going. Really you don’t even have to wait til morning if the feeling strikes to go lace up your sneakers and get rockin’ on a 4pm workout, then go for it!
I vow to pick up right where I left my motivation and forge ahead. No living in the past- the woulda, coulda, shoulda is outta here… And if I feel like cutting fabric at 8:30 at night, then I shall seize the mustache moment…!

Was your motivation lost in the snow storm too??
Stay tuned for progress and have an excellent motivational Monday..!!

yes, definitely…but the work goes on…whether you’re home or AT the place!! Self–forgiven!!
