I feel like I’m sitting on the precipice of hope today. That word “precipice” popped into my head this morning and wouldn’t let go. So I went and looked it up to make sure it meant what I thought it did.
In case your high school English vocabulary is rusty like mine was, here’s the definition for precipice : Steep or overhanging place; hazardous situation; brink….
Hmm I’m not much on the hazardous situation, but I can certainly identify with being on the brink of something…watchfully waiting and wondering…
I guess the corners of my mind were onto something..! I’ve been in the pit and I’m ready to be on the precipice….
Isaiah 43:18-19 But the Lord says, “Do not cling to events of the past or dwell on what happened long ago. Watch for the new thing I am going to do. It is happening already – you can see it now! I will make a road through the wilderness and give you streams of water there.
Hope. It’s scary but God desires us to have it. After all he is Hope.
Have a wonderful day!
